 After formation of Public Works Authority and separation of the Engineering Affairs Administrations from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, it is questionable…… what will be the type of Ministry-Authority relationship, especially regarding the interrelated works?
The (MMAA) and the Public Works Authority (PWA) agreed on a mutual mechanism dealing with the internal roads maintenance, new gardens (horticulture) roundabouts maintenance works, maintaining buildings and premises in addition to minor rehabilitation and construction works and other additional works. |

The municipalities history in Qatar state date back to the year 1963 AD, when (Qatar Municipality) was established according to Law No (11) for the year 1963, regulated the municipal works, comprises of (36) articles. The law No (11) of the year 1963 partially modified by the Law No (15) of the year 1963. Article (1) of the modification replaced the heading of the law No (11) of 1963 from (Organizing Qatar Municipality) to Law No (15)/1963 (Organizing Doha Municipality) according to this article the Municipality name was changed to be Doha Municipality instead of Qatar Municipality.
